For the first time, the brilliant works of Escher are coming to Puglia. Starting next March 28, the Polo Museale – Castello Conti Acquaviva D’Aragona in Conversano will host a major exhibition dedicated to Escher, an artist of impossible geometries and worlds, one of the most beloved artists of the 20th century by the general public all over the world.
From March 28 to September 28, 2025, the exhibition halls of the Polo Museale – Castello Conti Acquaviva D’Aragona in Conversano will host the works of Escher, a brilliant and visionary artist, beloved by the general public all over the world, an iconic artist for art lovers but also for mathematicians, designers and graphic designers, for his unique creations capable of combining art with the infinite universe of numbers, science with nature, reality with imagination, generating imaginative inventions and magical paradoxes but with strong scientific rigor.

Biography
M.C.Escher
Maurits Cornelis Escher (1898-1972) is one of the world’s most famous graphic artists. His art is enjoyed by millions of people all over the world, as can be seen on the many web sites on the internet. He is most famous for his so-called impossible constructions, such as Ascending and Descending, Relativity, his Transformation Prints, such as Metamorphosis I, Metamorphosis II and Metamorphosis III, Sky & Water I or Reptiles. But he also made some wonderful, more realistic work during the time he lived and traveled in Italy.
