La grande mostra M.C. ESCHER arriva a Padova.
From February 18th, the Altinate San Gaetano Cultural Center will host an exceptional exhibition presenting the greatest masterpieces of a fascinating artist, capable of transforming geometry and mathematics into art through his tilings, optical illusions, and impossible worlds.
An unmissable event to discover (or rediscover) the singular work—one that still inspires and amazes today—of an extraordinary artist.
A journey to discover the entire career of the Dutch genius, from his early work to his travels in Italy and the Mediterranean, through the various techniques he explored throughout his life and which made him a one-of-a-kind artist, so much so that he is one of the most beloved in the world.
Among the tessellations, metamorphoses, reflective surfaces, and geometric paradoxes, the exhibition also features numerous educational materials, videos, and interactive installations that will allow adults and children alike to better understand his work and its evolution toward abstraction, impossible perspectives, and surprising representations of seemingly plausible worlds that are irreconcilable with reality.
Running at the Altinate Center – San Gaetano, Padua from February 18 to July 19, 2026.
